wow y'all just took the words out of my mouth and put em into pictures! hah!
edit: to craig_c_h: Its a parralel universe thing. See, as Shinigami is out here, telling us this tale using her pictures and sprites, Crystal, which is her in hedgehog form, is being kidnapped at this very moment. Since they are both the same person, the hedgehog Shinigami and Shinigami human are both having same thoughts and can both see what the other is seeing. Therefore, as Shinigami sees through the eyes of Crystal, she also acknowledges whats going on and telling us what's happening using sprites. Simple thing, really, once you pass science in 800th grade.
